Monarto Safari Park

Monarto Safari Park, 35 minutes from Langhorne Creek, is the largest safari experience outside of Africa and is home to many of Africa’s most impressive animals including one of Australia’s largest lion prides and giraffe herds.

It’s an escape from the city that immerses visitors in a natural safari-style setting and allows you to experience animals roaming in vistas as far as the eye can see. Monarto Safari Park is owned and operated by a conservation charity, Zoos SA.

Zoos SA is also proud to partner with six wineries from the Langhorne Creek region as part of the ‘Grapes for good’ initiative. Kimbolton Wines, Bleasdale, Bremerton, Lake Breeze, The Winehouse and Vineyard Road wineries have come together to create a unique mix of wines to support conservation efforts with part proceeds from the sale of these wines supporting Zoos SA’s conservation mission.

Milang

The quaint town of Milang is on the border of the Langhorne Creek Wine Region. Once a thriving river port in the days of paddlesteamers ploughing the river, it is now a sleepy lakeside village.

Milang’s mild winter days and cool summers make it ideal for holidays all year round. It is perfect for sailing, windsurfing and fishing or to just put your feet up and relax. Pack your binoculars as the lake’s shores provide excellent bird watching.
