Take the most scenic drive to a wine region in South Australia. This route will take you up the South Eastern Freeway , past picturesque Adelaide Hills towns and along ridgetops with spectacular views across the hills and down to the Murray River plains beyond. Before you descend from the hills onto the plains at Langhorne Creek, you’ll see vistas of vineyards spread out below with Lake Alexandrina and the Coorong in the distance.
Take the M1 South Eastern Freeway out of the city. Drive through the hills to the Mount Barker exit. Turn right and follow the B37 (Adelaide Road) toward Strathalbyn/Wellington. At Wistow, go straight ahead, following the Wellington Rd to Woodchester. After Woodchester township, follow the signs and turn left to onto Meechi Road which ends at the Bridge Hotel Langhorne Creek.
